Embracing the Journey: From Sceptical Scientist to Energy Worker

Hi my love! Welcome to my very first blog post! This space is all about me sharing my own thoughts and beliefs, plus some cool spiritual insights I've picked up along my journey. I aim to connect the dots between science and spirituality using my unique perspective as a professional molecular biologist who has recently embraced the realm of energy work.

For my first ever post, I'm excited to share the journey of my transformation from being a sceptical scientist to a devoted energy worker. I get it, it might sound counterintuitive for someone like me to be all into spirituality and energy healing. Where's the hardcore scientific evidence, right? My whole professional journey has been about being super logical and having a strong scientific mindset. But, surprise! Life has thrown me this curveball, and now I'm navigating the world of energy work too. For me, science and spirituality are deeply intertwined; it's all about delving into the profound intricacies of how things operate.

Narrow Perspectives: Life as a Sceptical Scientist

Back in the day, before my spiritual awakening, my ego was all high and mighty, thinking it had the handbook on what's real and what's just a load of ‘woo-woo nonsense’. I was throwing judgments left and right, including towards those walking a spiritual path. I was confident that my status as a scientist automatically made me more knowledgeable about how things work, and my scepticism towards anything lacking substantial 'proof' provided a sense of security. I've since come to realise the extent of my misconceptions and narrow-mindedness and now, I'm embracing the same spiritual lifestyle I used to criticise with open arms.

I also used to buy into the idea that our current society and scientific approaches are technologically advanced, however, my perspective has now shifted. Instead, I now view it as though we're still in the early stages of development, more akin to cavemen in the broader context of our potential. The realisation hit me: just because we don’t have the technology to put a ‘scientific proof’ label on something yet, doesn't mean it does not exist. Plus, the further I delved into my career as a scientist, the more I recognised that it's all about accumulating 'evidence' and not this undeniable 'proof' we often imagine.

My Transition to Becoming an Energy Worker

In more recent years, figured out that I'm more than just this body - there's a whole other dimension to me that science doesn't quite capture. I started exploring the energetic nature of our bodies, which is a bit 'out there' compared to the science stuff I knew. You see, things like energy fields, chakras, and meridians don't fit neatly into the biological playbook. Funny enough, they never mentioned the mind-body connection in all my years of studying or throughout my career. I quickly recognised that our current pharmaceutical approaches are all about fixing issues after they arise, without really digging into why they went haywire in the first place. During my career in the drug discovery field, I witnessed first-hand how many of these ‘medicines’ impacted processes essential for maintaining the healthy functioning of cells, causing all sorts of headaches for the patients. Now, armed with a deeper understanding, it's clear that this approach isn't just shaking up our body systems; it's throwing things more off balance energetically, rather than promoting the body’s natural ability to heal itself. That's why I firmly believe that a holistic approach is necessary to create lasting relief from physical and mental ailments.

Over the course of several years, I’ve been in deep exploration of the intricate connections between our thoughts, feelings, and that inner spark we call spirit. This journey involved getting to know the ins and outs of the chakra system and its correlations with our endocrine organs and the myofascial network. I've even taken a plunge into studying some ancient healing practices – think the Indian health system, Ayurveda, traditional shamanic rituals, and the Japanese wizardry of Reiki. It's like unlocking secrets to healing that have stood the test of time. Through all this digging, I've developed this big appreciation for how holistic therapies can work wonders. Now, I'm all about integrating my advanced biological knowledge with this newfound wisdom into my role as an energy worker. With this blog, I aim to share deep insights I've picked up along the way and contribute to the broader understanding of holistic well-being.

If you're keen on experiencing or delving deeper into any of the energy healing techniques mentioned above, stay tuned to this blog or reach out – I'd be delighted to accompany you on a transformative journey of self-exploration.
